MTV Documentary Films - Last Flight Home
Last Flight Home is a deeply emotional documentary by Ondi Timoner that tells the story of her father, Eli Timoner, as he faces his final moments with the help of California’s aid-in-dying law. The film captures the raw reality of making the ultimate choice when confronted with terminal illness, blending personal memories with the universal themes of love, family, and the difficult decisions we face as life comes to a close.
At the core of this documentary is the profound relationship between Ondi and her father, as well as the complexities of their family dynamics. The trailer had to honor not only Eli’s decision, but also the deep emotional journey experienced by Ondi and her family. My work was centered on weaving this intimate, emotional story into a cinematic experience that would speak to the hearts of all who watch.
